A 1-3/8" cushion clamp. A cushioned insert isolates the pipe from the clamp, damping vibration and stopping the metal-to-metal contact that transmits noise into the structure. Pipe supports are sized to the nominal pipe they carry and spaced along the run per the pipe material's support table, closer for plastic than for metal pipe.
