An expansion tank. Model ST-25V. 10.3 gallon. Floor standing. Takes up the volume change as the system water heats, so pressure does not climb until the relief valve lifts. Rated for potable water service. Set the tank pre-charge to match system fill pressure — a tank charged wrong is a tank doing nothing.
